Back again with us this year, is Gamers on the Edge! They were great fun last year, bringing a new spin to leveling up. Angel Miranda tells us a bit more about Gamers on the Edge, and what they’re bringing to Gulf Coast MakerCon 2016.
“We believe in “Gaming with a Cause” ,” says Angel. “We have donated over $20,000 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and we take care of the game rooms, gaming consoles, and games at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg FL.
“We believe in using gaming in order to “Make a better community”. We believe in Making a difference. What better way to make a difference in the life of others, than by doing something you enjoy.”
For Gulf Coast MakerCon, they’re bringing a TV and gaming system to run some all day Gaming with a Cause tournaments, as well a raffle item to benefit All Children’s Hospital. Gulf Coast MakerCon will be able to play a one on one video game with other participants throughout the day with an end of the day play off for top scorers.
Why should folks come out to Gulf Coast MakerCon? ” To quote the great Figment (from Disney) ‘To see why “Imagination works the best when it’s set free,'” says Angel.
Join in with Gamers on the Edge, at the Gulf Coast MakerCon 2016 Gaming Expo, on April 9, to help kids beat the real Boss Fight of chronic illness.
