First, thanks to everyone for their warmth and understanding about our need to cancel our April 8th event this year. Your patience as we’ve worked to reschedule Gulf Coast MakerCon has been deeply appreciated.
In looking at our different options, and what would be best for the continued growth of MakerCon, we decided it would be best to take a “gap year” this year, and we are very happy to announce – especially today on May the 4th (Be With You) , no less – that we’ve joined forces with St. Petersburg College-Seminole Campus to host the biggest and best combined Pinellas ComicCon and Gulf Coast MakerCon event ever on March 24, 2018.
Look for more information soon but here’s just some of the benefits to hosting a
collaborative makers and comic-con event with St. Petersburg College:
- FREE admission for guests!
- FREE parking!
- Reduced vendor costs for commercial makers
- Thousands of square feet, indoors and out, for exhibits, drone races, and other competitions and displays
- Auditorium and classrooms for presentations and entertainment
- Food trucks for wider range of dining options
So save the date: March 24th, 2018 and look for more information in the fall, on registration, programming and more!
Share the news, and follow along on our Gulf Coast Makers website , Twitter and Facebook, and at the Pinellas ComicCon & MakerCon Facebook page, as well.
Please let us know if you have any questions, ideas or suggestions for the event, and stay
connected via our Meetups and other platforms.
